AmiGO Mentor

Hi Everyone! I’m Christina, and I’m honoured to be joining the Forever GO Foundation as an AmiGO mentor.

I was fortunate enough to be a G.O. before my journey came to an unexpected end because of COVID. Like so many others, I had to navigate major life changes, career shifts, and the ups and downs that this crazy world we call life throws at us. Those experiences helped shape who I am today and reminded me that we all need someone in our corner from time to time.

Today, I have a professional career that I truly enjoy, while also pursuing my passion for health and wellness. Through both, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of supporting others, building confidence, and encouraging people to believe in themselves. I’ve learned that sometimes the most meaningful thing we can offer is a listening ear, a little encouragement, and the reminder that no one has to face life’s challenges alone.

I’m so grateful to give back to the G.O. family that gave me so much, and I look forward to supporting, encouraging, and connecting with anyone who needs it.

Christina's Career Transition Story

I often describe my Club Med chapter as the love of my life. I worked as a G.O from February 2019 to March 2020, but my Club Med journey didn’t end when my contract did. When the world shut down because of COVID-19, I found myself in San Salvador, Bahamas, where I remained until June 2020. Those months became an unexpected and unforgettable end to my GO adventure.

Looking back, I realize that Club Med was so much more than a job—it was a lifestyle, family, and friends (home). It was an experience that shaped who I am professionally. It taught me how to communicate with people from different backgrounds, work as part of a team, lead, adapt, solve problems, step outside my comfort zone, and, most importantly, connect with people. I learned to embrace challenges, handle the unexpected, and trust myself in situations I never could have imagined.

Those skills have followed me through every professional chapter since Club Med. I went on to work as an Administrative Manager, while also developing a side activity as a certified fitness coach, where connecting with and motivating people became an important part of my work. Today, I am in a powerful new chapter of my career at Abzac, working in Customer Care and Inside Sales. Once again, the communication, adaptability, relationship-building, problem-solving, and confidence I developed as a GO are skills I rely on every day. I am also proud to have added a new title to my journey: AmiGO mentor for the ForeverGO Foundation, where I hope to support fellow ExGOs through every chapter of their lives, offering guidance, encouragement, and a helping hand whenever it is needed.

Club Med may have been one chapter of my career, but it became part of who I am. The experiences, relationships, and lessons I gained there have stayed with me long after I left the Village. That’s what makes the Club Med experience so special: you don’t simply leave with memories—you leave with skills that stay with you for life. And for me, that is exactly what makes the Club Med experience last forever.
